I’m Summit County Commissioner Elisabeth Lawrence, Proudly Representing District 1.
For nearly two years, I’ve been honored to represent Summit County, Colorado as a member of the Board of County Commissioners. I believe my background as an elected official in municpal and county government along with my extensive experience in community organization position me to better address the issues facing locals and small business.
I’m running for re-election on November 3rd to continue the important work of mitigating the impacts of COVID-19 in Summit County and to help lead our recovery.
Read more about me below, and please reach out to me if I can answer questions about my campaign and my work as a Commissioner. Thanks for your support!
My Background and Experience
My background—including owning a small business, serving as Director of Commuinty of Relations for the County’s largest non-profit, and as Mayor Pro-Tem for the Town of Breckenridge—helps me better understand the needs of Summit County and how to best address them. However, it’s my role as a mom that is my biggest source of inspiration and pride.
As the current Commissioner for District 1, my priorities include working on issues important to locals and business interests along with maintaining the strong relationships we enjoy with our municipal partners and our peers around the state. I am proud to represent and advocate for our County at both the state and federal level.
Creating and supporting a vibrant community for all continues to be my most important work. Among my duties as your Commissioner, I take an active role in Breckenridge Creative Arts, the Historical Alliance, Summit Stage Transit Board, Breck Music, Summit Chamber, High Country Soccer Association, Colorado Search and Rescue (COSAR), State Opioid Disbursement Committee, and Building Hope.
